Mr. Carl “Bud” Lloyd McIntyre, Sr., 87, of Burlington passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 10:48 a.m. following a few weeks of declining health.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Betty Strader McIntyre, who survives and the son of Carl R. McIntyre and Ruth Blalock McIntyre, both deceased. Mr. McIntyre was a retired plant supervisor in the textile industry. He enjoyed playing golf, drag racing and playing baseball. Bud was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include three children, Margie Revill (Andy), Sammy McIntyre (Cindy) and Anne Gross (David); step-daughter, Teresa Parrish (Billy); two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Betty Hermansdorfer (Jim), Ray McIntyre (Pat), Ken McIntyre (Carol), Nancy Trent (Bill), Mark McIntyre (Gwen) and Sue Baggett (Max).
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Jim Owen with the family receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
