Blanche Bowers Overman

Mrs. Blanche Bowers Overman, 75, of Burlington passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 1:41 p.m.

A native of Swain County, NC, she was the wife of 54 years of Jimmy Overman and the daughter of Charlie Columbus Bowers and Lillie Wilson Bowers, both deceased. 

Mrs. Overman is survived by her husband, Jimmy of the home; two sons, Charles Overman and his wife, Diane of Graham and Neal Overman and his wife, Kara of Haw River; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two sisters, Linda Bailey and Faye Grizzle.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Overman was preceded in death by a son, David Overman; three sisters, Nancy Smith, Maye Grizzle and Gayle Guffey; and three brothers, John Bowers, George Bowers and Carl Bowers.

There will be no services.  The family will receive friends at the residence of her son, Charles Overman, 7098 Bethel Southfork Rd., Graham, NC 27253.
