Bettye "Jo" Dillard Horne

Bettye “Jo” Dillard Horne, 87, of Burlington died at Peak Resources – Alamance on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 3:30 a.m.

A native of Pender County, NC, she was the wife of Robert “Bob” Horne, who survives and the daughter of C. R. Dillard and Margaret Homewood Dillard, both deceased. Mrs. Horne was a former Office Manager at the Alamance County Tax Department. She was a member of the First Christian United Church of Christ for over 60 years.

In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a son, James “Jim” Horne and wife Cindy of Burlington; daughter, Susan Wright Horne of Burlington; and brother, George Dillard and wife Pat of Graham. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Knott and Barbara Meschke.

A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Mark Pickett.
