Betty Sue McCrary Blackwell

Mrs. Betty Sue McCrary Blackwell, 91, of Burlington died at the Hospice Home on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.

A native of Winfield, AL, she was the wife of 60 years to the late Charles Durward Blackwell and the daughter of William Mode McCrary and Lucille Harris McCrary, both deceased. She was an active member of Guiding Light Baptist Church, Elon, NC.

Mrs. Blackwell was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend who was affectionately known as “Mama Sue”.

Survivors include a daughter, Charla Sue Bilson of Burlington; two grandsons, Mason and Max Bilson; brother, William Dave McCrary and wife Fay of Opelika, AL.; two sisters, Margaret Ann Reed of Winfield, AL and Mary Belle Page of Mobile, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at Guiding Light Baptist Church on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Guiding Light Baptist Church, 311 South Williamson Avenue, Elon, NC 27244.
