Janet Bradley Perry, 87, of 2715 Surich Dr. Burlington passed away on Saturday October 13th, 2018 following one week of critical illness.
A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late Thomas E. Perry (Gene) and the daughter of Ellis Anderson Bradley and Jane Elizabeth Bradley, both deceased.
After graduating Haw River High School, she later graduated from Burlington Business College. She was employed by Burlington Industries as a secretary for several years and met Gene there. They were married in 1956, and her passion became building a loving home. She became an incredible homemaker, a wonderful mother and grandmother, that will always be remembered. The importance of family and Sunday lunches at Janet’s are memories that will be cherished. She was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church, a member of The Ruth Sunday School class, and for many years taught the Beginners Children’s Sunday School class. She was member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Battle of Alamance Chapter #256.
She is survived by one son, Thomas E Perry, Jr and wife Lisa of Silk Hope; one daughter, Karen Perry Williams of Burlington; two grandchildren, Meredith Grayson Williams and Kathleen Mackenzie Williams and 2 sisters-in-law, Louise Bradley and Lucille Bradley.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 2:30pm by Dr. Dale Steele. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral home in Burlington from 12:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service on Thursday. Other times they will be at the residence of the daughter, Karen Williams, 1218 Aycock Ave, Burlington.
Memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church, Burlington or to Samaritan’s Purse, Boone NC.
