Barbara Morris Martindale

Barbara Morris Martindale, 85, of Burlington passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Monday, September 19, 2022.

Barbara was born in Guilford County, she was the wife of 61 years to the late Harold Ray Martindale and the daughter of the late Zola Bare Griffin. She retired from General Electric in 1997 and also from Kernodle Clinic in Burlington after working for 11 additional years. Barbara was an avid gardener and seamstress. She loved traveling with her husband all over the United States.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Tabatha Apple (Lee); four great granddaughters, Emmalee Boyd (Jonathan), Jennifer Apple, Anaya Apple, and Kimberlyn Apple; and a sister, Joy Cortes. She was preceded in death by three children, Bonnie Thompson, Catherine McBroom, and Bobby Martindale and one sister, Carolyn Hatch.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 12:00 noon by Rev. E. Reid Dickens with the family receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon prior to the service. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
