Barbara Hill Fuqua

Barbara Hill Fuqua, 73, of Graham passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

A native of Mooresville, NC, she was the wife of John Marshall Fuqua, who survives and the daughter of Thomas Elliott Hill and Vera Jean Goodrum Hill, both deceased. She was secretary for H. F. Mitchell Construction and also worked at Staffmark and Remnants & Textiles. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mebane.

In addition to her husband of their home, survivors include a son, Jeff Fuqua and wife Odella of Emerado, ND; daughter, Kimberly Fuqua Barger and husband Shane of Haw River; grandchildren, Jamison Fuqua and wife Laura, Jonathan Fuqua, and Jefferson Fuqua, all of Emerado, ND, Nathan Barger and wife Meredith of Graham, and Caleb Barger of Haw River; sister, Paula Atwater; brother, Tommy Hill and wife Liz; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Mebane on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. by Pastor Sammy Ballard with the family receiving friends following the service.

Mrs. Fuqua will be available for viewing at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 3, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

A graveside service will be held at Alamance Memorial Park on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
