Mrs. Barbara Glendora Johnson Flack, of Burlington, passed away at Alamance Health Care Center on Sunday, May 19, 2019 following several years of declining health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late William A. “Bill” Flack and the daughter of Walter Lee Johnson, Sr. and Laura Neta Terrell Johnson, both deceased. Mrs. Flack loved the beach, golf, camping, fishing and cooking. She was a member of the Burlington Assembly of God.
Survivors include two sons, Tim Flack (Karen) of Burlington and Billy Flack (Kay) of Mebane; sister, Arlene Quakenbush of South Carolina; brother, Ronnie Johnson of Burlington; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Daniel, Jacob and Shane; two great-grandsons, Joshua and Carter; and 15 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Flack; three sisters, Laura, Ruth and Maggie; and seven brothers, Willie, Earl, Tink, Clarence, Albert, Richard and Paul.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. Howard Thompson with the family receiving friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Tim and Karen Flack, 922 Scott St, Burlington, NC 27215.
