Barbara Chandler Mock Sink

Barbara Chandler Mock Sink, 83, formerly of Huntington Road, Burlington, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Twin Lakes Health Care Center.

A native of Alamance County, Bobbie was the wife of the late Robert Blair Mock, Jr. and the daughter of the late Jennings Ingram Chandler, Sr. and the late Verna Mae Hadley Chandler.

Bobbie retired as bookkeeper for Biscuitville for over 23 years.

She is survived by her four children, Robert Blair Mock III and wife, Marcia, of Mebane, Teresa Mock Pirone and husband, Dennis of Burlington, Jody Mock Jones and husband, Barry, of Hardy, VA and Michael Todd Mock and significant other, Lisa, of Burlington; eight grandchildren, Jason Mock, Katlyn Menacho and husband, Wilver, Jessica Pirone, Rebecca Dawson and husband, Matt, Alexis Jones, Blake Jones, Mikaela Mock and Samantha Mock; three great-grandchildren, Andrew Mock, Elliot Dawson and Kalina Menacho; one sister, Brenda Chandler Matherly and her husband, Johnny, of Burlington; one brother-in-law, Joe Webb and many very loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Piper Menacho; sisters, Doris Wicker and husband, Preston, Flo Faust, Nelle Neal and husband, Bob, and Jane Webb; and her brother, Jennings Chandler, Jr. and wife Irene.

She has also been reunited with her loving four-legged companion, Wolfie.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, May 8, from 1:30 until 2:45 pm at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington. Other times they will be at the residence of Teresa Pirone, 6751 Rascoe Rd., Burlington, NC, 27215.

A Celebration of Bobbie’s life will be at 3:00 pm in the Rich and Thompson Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Ben Bishop. Burial will be in Long’s Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. The family requests that everyone attending please dress casually for the celebration.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Long’s Chapel Christian Church, 2364 NC 49, Burlington, NC 27217.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Coble Healthcare Center at Twin Lakes and Dr. Jeffrey Sparks for their compassion and care shown to Bobbie during her illness.
