Ann F. McKenzie

Ann F. McKenzie, 88, of Burlington, died Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Hospice Home in Burlington.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Elzieree C. Foust Dineen and the late Fred Foust. She was the step-daughter of the late Magor Bliel Moore Dineen.

She was a former employee of Western Electric, attended Elon College and was a former member of the Alamance Country Club, where she was active in the Ladies Golf Association.

She worked a number of years as a volunteer for Red Cross, United Way, Hospice, Meals On Wheels and other volunteer work where needed. She was also a homemaker.

Mrs. McKenzie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Burlington.

Survivors include one son, Mr. Owen Ray (Butch) McKenzie, Jr. and wife, Marta, of Burlington; one half-brother, Mr. Bliel Timothy Dineen and wife, June, of Graham and one sister-in-law, Sylvia Dineen of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Mrs. Marion Foust Simpson; two brothers, Boyd Foust and Jack Foust; and a half-brother, Patrick S. Dineen.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 18, 2019, at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Burlington. Officiating will be the Rev. Taylor Barner. The family will receive friends after the service.
