Andrew “Jack” Hensley, 92, peacefully entered heaven September 14, 2023 at The Hospice Home of Burlington, after four years of declining health.
He was born in Asheville, NC on February 13, 1931, to Jim and Vera Hensley.
Jack is preceded in death by both parents and five siblings, Pansy, Mary, Ollie, Jay, and George. He was the last living member of his family’s generation.
He is survived by his wife Louise Buckland Hensley, of 52 years. Two sons, Michael Hensley of Wilmington, NC and Tim Hensley of Virginia. Two step sons David Windsor of Burlington and Mark Windsor of Kimesville.
Five Grandchildren, Casey Hensley Caggiano, Jason Windsor, Matthew Windsor, Rachel Windsor Cables, and Taylor Windsor Jones.
Nine Great Grandchildren, Liam, Blair and Brooke Caggiano, Alistair Windsor, Hensley (Jack’s namesake) Windsor, Tony Cables, Genevieve and Adrian Labbe, Laina Jones.
As well as several nieces and nephews.

A veteran, Jack served in the US Navy during the Korean War Era. Military honors will be provided at the memorial with the assistance of family member, Alan Cables.
Jack was a faithful member of Gideons International since October 30, 1973.
