Andrew "Andy" Ronald Goras

Andrew “Andy” Ronald Goras, 33, of Greensboro passed away in Guilford County following a motorcycle accident.

Andy was born in Richland County, SC. He was employed with UPS as a package handler. He started the N. C. Biker Boys/Girls Club. Andy helped coordinate rides for Toys for Tots, Victory Junction, cancer events, rides for family and friends for terminal illnesses, birthday parties for kids, and many other events. Together, he and his father were members of the Gibsonville Garden Railroad Club, where they spent Saturday mornings running trains outdoors and running trains on his dad’s indoor layout. He was an avid Star Wars fan. Andy loved spending time with family and friends and also caring for his community.

Survivors include his father, Ronald David Goras, Jr. and step-mother, Kathy Lynne Goras, of Graham; two sisters, Sarah Michelle Peterson and husband Jake of Titusville, FL and Charity Ann Elliott and husband Brandon of Palm Bay, FL; two brothers, Oscar Samuel Goras of Greensboro and Jack Quentin Goras of Littleton, CO; a long time girlfriend of 14 years, Amanda Bartley of the home; a step-sister, Laura Isley of Graham; a niece, Kinslee Isley of Graham; and three grandmothers, Veronica Goras of Brunswick, OH, Alison Goras of Greensburg, PA, and Beverly Smith of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marsha Carol Smith and two grandfathers, Ronald David Goras, Sr. and Boyd Smith.

The funeral service will be conducted at Salem United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. by Pastor Benjamin Wolf with the family receiving friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service in the sanctuary. There will be a graveside service in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory Junction in honor of Andrew Goras, 4500 Adams Way, Randleman, NC 27317.
