Alvin Jefferson Roberts

On Thursday, September 10, 2020, Alvin Jefferson Roberts, 86, went home to the Lord.

A native of Graham County, Mr. Roberts settled in Caswell County. He was the husband of 49 years to the late Cora M. Roberts and the son of the late Thomas J. Roberts and the late Bertha W. Roberts.

Mr. Roberts worked most of his life in textiles. He used his many talents to provide for his family. He enjoyed taking trips to the Smokey Mountains where he was born.

Mr. Roberts was a member of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints in Caswell County, where he held and served many callings.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his children, Stevie L. Roberts, and his wife Amy, Teresa R. Arrwood, Patsy R. Thompson and her husband, Mike, Jefferson K. Roberts and his wife, Joanna and Curtis R. Roberts, Sr. and his wife, Renae; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Edna R. Batten and her husband, Danny, Herman L. Roberts and his wife, Jean and Annie R. Bartley and her husband, John.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy R. Stainback; two brothers, Alfred Roberts and Fred Roberts and a son-in-law, H. Kenneth Arrwood.

The family will receive friends and family Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints, 1401 Rascoe-Dameron Rd., Burlington, NC 27217.

The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
