Alice S. Riley Peed

Mrs. Alice S. Riley Peed, 86, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 after several weeks of declining health.

A native of Alamance County, Mrs. Peed was the wife of the late Herbert Tim Peed and the daughter of George Simpson and Maggie Herndon Simpson, both deceased.

Alice retired from Randon Knitwear as a bookkeeper. She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Donald Riley and his wife Maria, of Elon; three daughters, Robin Cantrell and her husband, Charles, of Elon, Vera Ellen Riley of Durham and Deborah Rhine of Kernersville; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Rich and Thompson Funeral Service in Burlington. Other times they will be at the residence of Robin and Charles Cantrell.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Officiating will be the Rev. Reid Dickens. Burial will follow at Concord Christian Church Cemetery in Caswell County.
