Alice Davis Miller Abernathy, 99, passed away on October 11, 2020 at her residence.
She was born in Saxapahaw August 8, 1921 to the late Alson T. and Lenora Edwards Davis and was married to John W. “Jake” Miller and Jefferson Reid Abernathy.
She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church where she served as youth girls Sunday school teacher, choir member and Merry Bells member. She was also a Pink Lady volunteer at ARMC for many years.
She is survived by husband Reid Abernathy, a son, Gary Miller of Elon and step daughter Rita Husmann of Snohomish, WA, 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A special thanks to caregivers, Cathy and Judy, who have provided excellent and compassionate care during her illness.
