Alfred Thomas Coble

Mr. Alfred Thomas Coble, 77, of Burlington died at Springview Assisted Living on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 6:15 p.m.

A native of Orange County, he was the son of Charlie Thomas Coble and Frances Younts Coble, both deceased. He was formerly employed with Whites Furniture and was of the Baptist faith. Alfred was very humble and so appreciative of everything. He was loved very much by his family.

Survivors include his son, Alfred William “Billy” Coble and wife Lisa of Pensacola, FL; a granddaughter, Brittany Diane Arumugam; six siblings, Lois Conover and husband Jay of Georgia, Janice Leake of Hillsborough, Gladys Coble of Durham, Karen Penland and husband Jackie of Hillsborough, Carlton Coble and wife Emmy of Australia and Daryl Nicholson of Efland; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alton Coble and Ralph Coble and two sisters, Alice Coble and Beverly Hatch.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 5 until 7 p.m.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Don Pegg. Burial will follow in Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery in Orange County, NC.
