Thomas E. Lunsford, Jr.

Thomas E. Lunsford, Jr., 62, of Burlington passed away at his residence on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at 9:37 p.m.

A native of Danville, VA, he was the son of Judith Lunsford Atkins, who survives and the late Thomas Edward Lunsford, Sr. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and retired from the automotive industry. Thomas attended Carr United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother of their home, survivors include a daughter, Tiffany E. Lunsford of Elon; sister, Sherri Lunsford Reel of the home; two brothers, Michael L. Lunsford and wife Tammy of Mebane and Donald B. Lunsford and wife Michele of Gibsonville; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Ronnie Byrd with the family receiving friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.  Other times the family will be at the residence.
