Virginia Mae (Johns) Myers

Mrs. Virginia Mae Johns Myers, 89, of Burlington passed away at the Twin Lakes Healthcare Center on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 12:50 p.m.

A native of Indiana County, PA, she was the wife of the late Lloyd Dale Myers, and the daughter of Raymond Johns and Orpha Henry Johns, both deceased. Mrs. Myers was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Graham.

Survivors include three daughters, Jackie Towne of Raleigh, Pam Smith and her husband, Daniel of Lunenburg, MA and Wendy Sykes and her husband, David of Burlington; seven grandchildren, Tracey Hines, Katie Towne, Michael Towne, Carolyn Brodeur, Christopher LeBlanc, Nathan LeBlanc and Annie Sykes; three great grandchildren; and a brother, Ross Johns of Indiana.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle Kenny and Ella Bernard; and three brothers, Raymond Johns, Roe Johns and Olen Johns.

A graveside service will be conducted at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Kevin Baker. 

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
