Thelma Rozelle McFadden Varner, 88, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living.
Mrs. Varner was born April 27, 1929 in Asheville, NC to David W. McFadden and Rozelle C. McFadden. She attended Lee Edwards High School in Asheville and Womens College (University of North Carolina Greensboro).
She was preceded in death by her first husband, F.S. Armfield of Greensboro and second husband, Wil Varner of Burlington; brothers, Frank McFadden (Elizabeth) of High Point and David McFadden (Lillian) of Baton Rouge.
She is survived by two sons, Rick Armfield and Jim Armfield (Marilyn) of Greensboro; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
