Thelma Lenora Fain

Mrs. Thelma Fain, 79, of Burlington died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 2:29 a.m. following one year of declining health.

A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of Garland Fain, who survives and the daughter of Ed McGehee and Bessie McGehee, both deceased. Mrs. Fain was a cashier with 20 years of service at Biscuitville on Maple Avenue in Burlington.

In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include two sisters, Mary Atkins of Greensboro and Marie Langley of Alabama; and two sisters-in-law, Shelby Byrd and husband Wilson of Burlington and Janice Fain of Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by a son, Chester Odell Allred and sister, Willie McPherson.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Other times they will be at the residence of Shelby and Wilson Byrd, 1471 Boone Road, Burlington, NC 27217.

A graveside service will be conducted at Kerr’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Caswell County, NC on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
