Paul Bryan Fulton Jr.

July 19, 1928 ~ August 19, 2017 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Paul Fulton, Jr. was born in Bluefield, WV to Paul Sr. and Agnes Fulton. He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston, WV, 1946 where in September he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. Paul had a very eventful career that included meeting and marrying his wife Toku Mio in 1951 while stationed in Japan. He served in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts among his many deployments. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal during the Korean conflict. After serving 23 years, Paul retired honorably as a 1st Sgt. As a marine Paul was Semper Fi.

Paul’s second career took the Fulton’s to Burlington, NC where he worked with Snap-On-Tools for 15 years. Upon their retirement, Paul and Toku involved themselves in what became their passion: auctioning, buying and selling antiques and collectibles. They were members of the Coffee Mill and Depression Glass clubs where they met and enjoyed many friends throughout the years.

Paul was predeceased by his sister Margaret and infant daughter, Lisa Ann (March, 1962). He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Toku of the home, son Paul III (Jane), son Douglas and four grandchildren: Justin Fulton, Jessica Kovach, Alexandra and Jeanna Fulton.

Paul’s desires were to be cremated and to be buried in a veteran’s National Cemetery. For those who knew Paul, think of him and root for his favorite MLB team, the Atlanta Braves.

A private service for immediate family will be held at a later date.
