Mr Logan Elmer Crutchfield Jr.

Mr. Mickey Crutchfield, 74, of Haw River died at his residence on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 3:02 p.m. following a short illness.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Logan Elmer Crutchfield, Sr. and Ida Overman Crutchfield, both deceased. Mr. Crutchfield was the owner and operator of Crutchfield Auto Parts. He raced and was a supporter of Ace Speedway. He was known at the racetrack as the “Haw River Flash”. He loved NASCAR and western movies and going to the lake. He was a member of The Lamb’s Chapel.
Survivors include his girlfriend of 17 years, Judy Alvis; four daughters, Tammy Wilson and husband Tom of Mebane, Kathy Nelson and husband Jeff of Mebane, Glenda Farrell of Concord and Micki Lynn Madden and husband Andy of Mebane; his first child canine, Taz; ten grandchildren, Tiffany Farrior and husband Josh, Cody Wilson, Sean Nelson and wife Whitney and Shane Nelson and wife Erica, all of Mebane, Chelsea Boggs and husband Brett of Burlington, Kailey Farrell of Charlotte, Travis Oakley, Trent Oakley, Brittany Madden and Luke Madden, all of Mebane; five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Colt, Lillie and Roxie Nelson, all of Mebane and Tatum Boggs of Burlington; two sisters, Pat Andrews and Tracy Crutchfield, both of Burlington; and a brother, Charlie Crutchfield of New York.
The funeral service will be conducted at The Lamb’s Chapel on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. by Pastor Brian Biggers with the family receiving friends from 2 until 4 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Mebane Memorial Gardens. Other times the family will be at the home of Tammy Wilson, 3503 Mt. Zion Church Road, Mebane, NC and at the home of Kathy Nelson, 1663 East Hwy. 70, Mebane, NC.
