Mary Lois Jackson

Mrs. Mary Lois Jackson, 93, of Burlington passed away at the Hospice Home on Sunday, February 11, 2018.

A native of Person County, she was the wife of the late Emery Sanders Jackson, Sr. and the daughter of Alfred Washington Long and Sarah Arrington Long, both deceased. Mrs. Jackson was employed with Jefferies Socks in Burlington and attended Graham Friends Church.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by six daughters, Darnell Hamby of Graham, Betty Talley of Siler City, Sandra Dabbs and her husband, Jack of Yanceyville, Brenda Jackson of Burlington, Faye Robinson and her husband, Jerry of Siler City and Sarah Cockman and Freddie Latham of Carolina Beach; son, Emery S. “Bo” Jackson, Jr. and his wife, Helen of Greensboro; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, five brothers and two great-great granddaughters.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. by Pastor Tom Barton and Pastor Wayne Byrd.  Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
