Kelleigh Elizabeth Shropshire

Miss Kelleigh Elizabeth Shropshire, 19, of Haw River passed away suddenly in a tragic, automobile accident on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.    

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Shannon Hall Shropshire of Burlington and Jimmy Shropshire and his wife, Chelsea of Haw River.  She was a 2016 Graduate of Graham High School and was in her second year at Alamance Community College, working towards her associates degree in Art.  Kelleigh was a member of Haw River United Methodist Church. She was very artistic and an avid writer.  She had a loving and caring spirit and was a compassionate counselor to her friends. She was very intelligent and witty. She was a friend to all and had a love for children.  We are all blessed to have been a part of her life.

In addition to her parents, survivors include three brothers, Aaron Whitley and his wife, Kirsten of Graham, James Shropshire of Burlington and Cameron Shropshire of Haw River; sister, Sophia Shropshire of Haw River; maternal grandparents, Dana Fogleman Glenn and her husband, John of Graham and Jasper Carter and his wife, Cynthia of Elon; paternal grandparents, James and Brenda Shropshire of Graham and Dale Pettigrew and his wife, Sarah of Haw River and Cynthia Pettigrew and Curtis of Eden; maternal great grandmother, Barbara Fogleman; paternal great grandmother, Margie McCabe; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Kelleigh was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Helen Brewer and great grandfather, Martin Fogleman.

A memorial service will be conducted at Haw River United Methodist Church, 127 Church Circle Dr., Haw River, NC 27258 on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. Andy Clapp and Rev. Laure Kalau. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service at the church.
