Judith Swaim Steen

Judith Swaim Steen, 86, of Burlington died at her residence on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 8:15 a.m.

A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of David Henry Swaim and Nell Haithcock Swaim, both deceased. Ms. Steen was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and retired registered nurse with Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. She was of the Eastern Orthodox faith and most recently baptized into the Orthodox church.

Survivors include two sons, Jefferson Steen and Eric Steen, both of Burlington; sister, Pat Levens of Whitsett; and brother, Michael Swaim of Raleigh. She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.

The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 5 until 7 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. by Father Christopher Foley. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope United Church of Christ Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Holy Cross Orthodox Church, 645 Greensboro Road, High Point, NC 27260
