Hazel and family, our condolences on the passing of JC. We learned so much from you and JC in the early days of dog agility when we ran Keeper, our PWD, and we took great pleasure in watching JC "handle" from the middle of the course. We used to tell people about JC's style before folks realized that it was really possible. You both were great pioneers in a fledgling sport.

To Hazel and to the rest of JC's family - The agility world will always be a better place because JC and Hazel were there to nurture along a new sport and those who wanted to give it a try. The numbers of people whose lives were enriched can't be calculated because you both touched so many in the dog world for so many years. RIP JC and we wish all of you many happy memories of JC. - Carrie DeYoung, Director of Agility, American Kennel Club

I remember the day as if it was yesterday that I was intro duce to them. They got me in agility and help me so much. I will miss him so bad but I have to say good-bye so he can live with our Lord in Jesus name. Love you J.C

J.C. is still well remembered in the agility community as one of the greats for his pioneering abilities in distance handling, His sportsmanship and graciousness as a handler as well as his desire to push the envelope in terms of what he could train influenced the newly emerging agility community then and set a culture that persists even today.
My thoughts and condolences to Hazel and the remaining family.
