John Hitefield

Mr. John Hitefield, 64, of Saxapahaw passed away at the Hospice Home on Saturday, December 9, 2017.

A native of Columbus, OH, he was the husband of Mary Hitefield and the son of Frank Hitefield and Ruby Booth Hitefield, both deceased.   John was a retired drywall contractor and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Graham.

Mr. Hitefield is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; two sons, James Edward Brooks and his wife, Marisa of Santa Rosa, CA and John Powell Duncan and his wife, Jo of Lancaster, OH; two daughters, Haleigh Ann Hitefield of the home and Ruby Jane Hitefield of Durham; six grandchildren, Tyler James Brooks, Dylan Michael Brooks, Abbie Bee Whitfield, Lillie Lyn Whitfield, Devon Wilburn, Johnathon William Keith Duncan; and a sister, Melba Graham and her husband, Dave of Indiana.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. by Pastor Tommy Bright.  The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
