I just read this as I was looking over my Dad's obit. I had no idea that Johnny was sick. I am so very sorry for your loss. I grew up just a couple of miles from Johnny, we also attended the same church and graduated from SHS the same year. I am very sorry for your loss. He was a great guy! Please know that I will have family and his friends in my prayers.

So sorry for the loss of your sweet Daddy, Brooks. I graduated from SHS w/your Dad and he also came to work at The Jones Agency where I worked before I moved to Raleigh. He was such a nice guy and always smiling. I know you are heartbroken but remember how very much he loved you and you will always carry him in your heart. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

We are so saddened by Johnny's passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out for the family and friends. We went to Church with Johnny for many years at Friendship Baptist Church. We saw him on several occasions at Pete's grill and his place of business as well. We know your hearts are heavy and he will be missed tremendously. We pray that GOD will comfort you as only HE can. Proverbs 3:5-6
