Horace Thomas (Jr.) Medley

Mr. Horace Thomas Medley, Jr., 72, of Gibsonville passed away at his residence on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.

A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Dorothy G. Medley and the son of Horace Thomas Medley, Sr. and Montea Jeanette Chrismon Axsom, both deceased.  Horace was a retired painter.

In addition to his wife, Dorothy of the home, survivors include his daughter, Sandra Kay Medley of Conway, SC; three sons, Horace T. Medley, III and his fiancée, Antheia of Monongah, WV, Ronald D. Medley of the home and Johnny W. Medley and his wife, Windy of Draper, NC; seven grandchildren, Ashley Medley Whitten and her husband, Mike, Johnny Wayne Medley, Jr., Dalton Medley, Daphne Medley, Shelby Medley, Dallas Medley and Danielle Medley; two great grandchildren, Dennis Medley and Timothy Medley; brother, Lewis Medley;  step-sister, Carolyn Axsom Gerringer; two step-brothers, Benny Axsom and Bob Axsom; and special family friend, Don R. Bullis.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Medley; brother, Frank Medley; and step-brother, Jim Axsom.

A funeral service will be held at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. by Pastor Bud Rowe.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Other times they will be at the residence.
