Hassell Corbett, Jr.

Mr. Hassell Corbett, Jr., 72, of Burlington passed away at the Hospice Home on Friday, September 15, 2017at 11:30 p.m.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Becky Corbett, who survives and the son of Andrew Hassell Corbett, Sr. and Bertha Perry Corbett, both deceased.  Hassell was a veteran of the US Navy serving two tours in Vietnam, he was retired from AT&T and was a member of Faith Christian Church in Burlington.

Mr. Corbett is survived by his wife, Becky of the home; two daughters, Monica Smith and her husband, Tim of Burlington and Cindy Corbett and Jeff Harward of Burlington; a son, Andrew H. “Drew” Corbett, III and his wife, Angela of Burlington; seven grandchildren, Cindi, Josh, Tristen, Abby, Dylan, Will and Lizzi; a sister, Peggy Thompson of Burlington; two brothers, Billy Corbett and his wife, Dorothy of Burlington and Al Corbett and his wife, Lynette of Burlington; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Corbett of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Hassell was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Corbett.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Reid Dickens. Burial will follow in the Union Ridge Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Other times they will be at the residence.
