Harvey Frank Qualls, 66, of Elon, passed away surrounded by his family and friends on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. Harvey looked forward to being welcomed into heaven by his daddy.
A native of Alamance County, Harvey was the husband of Lynn Claar Qualls and the son of the late Rev. Rainey B. Qualls, Sr. and Irene Poythress Qualls.
Harvey owned and operated European Service and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. Harvey was a man like no other. He was the greatest husband, son, father, papa and brother this world has ever known. His greatest love was his family. His many passions included motorcycles, old cars, and making things by hand.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Lynn, of the home; his daughter, Elizabeth (Liz) Irene Ward and her husband, Rodney Dale Ward, Jr. of Burlington; his son, Justin Frank Qualls and his wife April Perkinson Qualls, of Gibsonville; two granddaughters, Hannah Morgan Qualls and Lainey Gray Qualls; his mother, Irene Poythress Qualls; two sisters, Betsy Tapp (Glenn) and Susie Hodgin; two brothers, Rev. Rainey Qualls, Jr. (Barbara) and Dan Qualls (Cheryl); and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Harvey was greatly anticipating the arrival of his first grandson Lincoln James Qualls, son of Justin and April Qualls.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. The family will receive friends after the service. Other times they will be at the residence.
