Garrett Ray Simpson

Garrett Ray Simpson, 84, of Burlington died at his residence on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.

A native of Mt. Airy, NC, he was the husband of Glenda Pickard Simpson, who survives and the son of Lester Ernest “Bud” Simpson and Lola Hutchens Simpson, both deceased. Mr. Simpson was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was a 1955 graduate of Catawba College and retired from the N. C. Department of Revenue.

In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include a daughter, Robin Simpson McAdam of Atlanta, GA; son, Garrett Scott Simpson of Atlanta, GA; sister, Patti Simpson Crawford of New Bern, NC; and two nieces, Dr. Cynda Crawford of Gainesville, FL and Cathy Crawford Holden and husband John of New Bern, NC.

A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
