Ledbetter family, I was just at Pine Hill yesterday visiting Cindy's gravesite when I noticed that Enid had passed away in January. I was a close friend of Cindy's --we were cheerleaders together at Williams High School in 1971. I remember going to Cindy' s house when she died and Enid let all of Cindy's classmates go into Cindy's room and touch and feel everything trying to grasp one last memory of their dear friend. Enid provided closure to all of Cindy's friends even though it had to be an incredibly difficult time for herself. Apparently, that was one of her strongest traits as a person--selflessness. I remained in touch with Enid through the years and wrote a long letter to her about Cindy in 1999. She responded tin kind with a letter telling me that she cried "buckets" upon receiving my letter. She knew I loved Cindy and was so devastated by Cindy's death. Enid was a strong woman and i know she will be missed by her family. However, the sweetest thought for me yesterday was of the reunion of mother and child in Heaven for she and Cindy.
