David Lewis Sherman

Mr. David L. Sherman, 56, of Trinity died at Randolph Hospital on Sunday, November 12, 2017.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Elizabeth Sherman, who survives and the son of the late Lewis E. Sherman and Sue Rush Sherman, who survives. Mr. Sherman was a graduate of Burlington Day School, Eastern Guilford High School and N. C. State University. He was a division manager for United Parcel Service for 37 years. David was a member of Green Street Baptist Church and Colonial Country Club. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.

In addition to his wife of the home and mother of Elon, survivors include two sons, Brooks T. Sherman of Wilmington and Lewis S. Sherman of the home; brother, Nelson R. Sherman and wife Felicia of Greensboro; and nephew, Jack R. Sherman of Greensboro.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 5 until 7 p.m.

A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Keith Sexton.
