Beverly (James) Adams

Mrs. Beverly James Adams, 90, of Graham passed away at her residence on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 5:05 p.m.

A native of Durham County, she was the wife of the late Thomas Macon Adams and the late William R. Adams and the daughter of Anthony Bryant James and Mary Margaret Martin James, both deceased. Beverly was a retired nurse from Alamance Regional Medical Center with over 25 years of service.   She was a faithful member of New Covenant Fellowship in Graham, a member of the Alamance Line Dancers and the Haw River Historic Society.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Vickie Adams of Graham; two sisters, Glenda James Hayes of White House, Tennessee and Hazel James Balsdon of Melbourne, FL; two grandchildren, Chris Adams and his wife, Jaime of Graham and Stephanie Adams Grindall and her husband, Steve of Graham; four great grandchildren, Caleb Adams, Cohen Adams, Addyson and Jaelyn Grindall; a sister-in-law, Faye James of Burlington; and many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands and parents, Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by two sons, Tommy Adams and Samuel Adams; sister, Doris James King; and brother, William Franklin James.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. David Neff and Rev. Brian Dehart.  Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Other times they will be at the residence.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hospice staff for the special, loving care given to Mrs. Adams.
