Patricia Ann McHugh
July 25, 2010Patricia Ann McHugh, 71, of 2119 Dorsett Street, Burlington, died on Sunday, July 25th, 2010 at her residence after an extended illness.
A native of New York City, she was the wife of the late Bernard Francis McHugh, and the daughter of Patrick Boyle and Margaret Ruddy Boyle, both deceased. She was a retired physical education teacher at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was formerly a high school basketball coach in New York City for 15 years. Mrs. McHugh enjoyed playing golf at Shamrock Golf Course and also enjoyed playing bridge.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph McHugh and wife Natasha, of New York City and John McHugh, of Burlington; one daughter, Morene Harrington and husband Richard, of Greenville, NC; four grandchildren, Orion McHugh, Shade Harrington, Sally Harrington, and Sunny Harrington; two sisters, Margaret Price, of Bluffton, SC, and Kathleen Mulloany, of Garden City, NY. She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Boyle.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 30th, 2010 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Father Bob Benko will be officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 29th, from 6 – 8 PM at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Burlington and at other times will be at the residence.
